Felix Maduro
NAME & GRADUATION YEAR:
Felix Maduro ‘11

WHO YOU ARE:
I am a hard-working and dedicated husband; dad and entrepreneur who strives to create a positive impact on others.

BIGGEST ACCOMPLISHMENT SINCE GRADUATION:
I successfully launched the first-ever mobile app and professional online network for baseball players in Latin America (TuBeisbol). We have received very positive responses from MLB scouts, agents, coaches and players.

FAVORITE THING ABOUT BEING A TCU ALUMNI:
Having the great friendships and connections that TCU helped me build. I am also always impressed at how people recognize me all over the world when I am wearing a TCU shirt. TCU has really become a global brand and I am extremely proud and honored to be a Horned Frog.

FAVORITE MEMORY WHILE IN SCHOOL AT TCU:
I was extremely fortunate to witness Andy Dalton’s 4-year career while at TCU and lived through the growth of the team from a 7-5 season my freshman year to undefeated Rose Bowl Champions my senior year. My favorite day was ESPN’s College Game Day at TCU, which I enjoyed with my dad on campus.

WHERE CAN YOU BE FOUND ON A SATURDAY AFTERNOON:
During football season, I will be either at Amon G. Carter Stadium or glued to my TV rooting for the Frogs. During the offseason, I always try to spend quality time with my family on Saturdays doing different activities.

Born and raised in Panama City, Panama, before moving to Fort Worth to attend TCU. Graduated from the Neeley School of Business with a BBA degree in Finance and Marketing in 2011. My college internships included working at my family’s distribution company back in Panama. After graduation, I worked for 2 years at a multinational corporation in trade marketing and later started my own business.

I am very passionate about sports, especially baseball, which led me to pursue my vision of using technology to transform the recruiting landscape in Latin America and give better opportunities abroad to young prospects. I co-founded “TuBeisbol,” the first online professional network for baseball players in Latin America. We were able to win a National Innovation Award in 2014, which helped us launch our mobile app for iOS and Android this year. We are in the process of raising capital and expanding our platform in order to serve professional and collegiate baseball teams in the U.S.

I have one sister, Dora, who also continued the family tradition and graduated from TCU in 2014. Last year, I married my longtime girlfriend Debbie and two months ago we were blessed with the birth of our little Texan (and future Frog), Felix, Jr.
