WHO YOU ARE?
I'm Jessica McMahon McCane, BA '03. I'm a wife, mom, daughter, sister, friend, and teacher.
WHAT IS YOUR BIGGEST ACCOMPLISHMENT SINCE GRADUATION?
I found my true passion, teaching. After studying biology and chemistry at TCU, I taught physics at Aledo High School for 11 years. I currently teach barre at The Bar Method Austin, where I love helping my students find strength they didn’t know they had.
I’ve also fought two types of cancer and refuse to accept being a victim or to allow that to define me.
WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE THING ABOUT BEING A TCU ALUMNI?
Getting to wear TCU purple and fly a TCU flag proudly in Austin ... Longhorn Country
WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE MEMORY WHILE AT TCU?
Making friendships that will last a lifetime, falling in love with my husband, and discovering my ability to share what I love as a teacher.
WHERE CAN YOU BE FOUND ON A SATURDAY AFTERNOON:
With family and friends. Or trying to sneak a nap while my toddler takes hers.
