For the first time, TCU is combining these three amazing events into one action-packed weekend! Everything kicks off with the Homecoming Pep Rally in the Campus Commons, followed by fun for the whole family at FrogFest, complete with food, games, cash bar, fireworks, and a FREE concert by rock duo Jamestown Revival! Naturally, the highlight of Saturday’s festivities will be the football game versus Iowa State where we will join together to cheer on our beloved Horned Frogs. Register now!

Olympic Spotlight: Sarah Scherer

We all know that Horned Frogs are fierce and talented, which is why it is no surprise that Sarah Scherer ‘13 is competed in her second Summer Olympics this month in Rio! Scherer was awarded 7th in London and 8th this year in Women’s 10m Air Rifle. This year, she also competed in Women’s 50m Air Rifle where she placed 33rd out of 40.

Remembering a TCU Superhero

If you’re a fan of Frog Baseball, you’ve surely heard stories about 7 year-old Micah Ahern’s brave struggle with neuroblastoma and his close bond with the Horned Frogs. It is with heavy hearts that we share the news that Micah passed away on July 28th. Since the news was announced on Facebook, Frogs all over the world have been mourning his loss and celebrating his life.

Looking Back: TCU Campus Life 50 Years Ago

Earlier this month, the TCU Alumni Association invited local members of the Quinq Club for lunch on campus to discuss what life was like at TCU when they attended. With graduation years spanning from the 1940s to the 1960s, attendees learned about some of the amazing transformations TCU has seen over the years. Who are you?
I am a 24-year-old TCU graduate from Dallas, Texas with a passion for leading young adults in discovering and unleashing their maximal potential. The gifts and skills that I've been blessed with ignited the spark to start my own college readiness program for high school students, R.E.A.D.Y., which prepares juniors and seniors for the life after high school transition. Studying Work Life Balance

When TCU assistant professor of management, entrepreneurship and leadership, William Becker, witnessed his wife’s reaction to a demanding work email received at 5:00am, a light bulb went off. Collaborating with two other Texas professors, Becker designed the first study to measure emotional responses to after hours emails. This revealing new study marks an important step forward in understanding work life balance.

Get to Know the Fine Arts Dean

Last August, TCU welcomed Anne Helmreich as the new College of Fine Arts Dean. Helmreich came to TCU from the Getty Foundation in Los Angeles, but this wasn’t her first stint at TCU. She taught both art and art history at TCU from 1996 to 2003. Learn more about her vision for the College of Fine Arts through this interesting Q&A she completed with TCU Magazine.
