Kelly Alumni & Visitors Center 2820 Stadium Drive Time: 2:00-3:00 p.m. (Please arrive no later than 3:15 p.m.) Visit with friends and pick up your nametag and other pertinent information for the weekend. We will depart the Kelly Center and travel on the shuttle bus to Robert Carr Chapel. Note: Complimentary parking is available in the Frog Alley Parking Lot. (see map).
Medallion Ceremony with the Chancellor Location: Robert Carr Chapel Time: 4:00 - 5:00 p.m. Celebrate a tradition that’s become a vital part of TCU’s storied history. In the beautiful setting of the Robert Carr Chapel, Chancellor Victor J. Boschini, Jr. will present your commemorative 50-year reunion medallion – compliments of the TCU Alumni Association – to wear during the procession ceremony on Saturday. A class photo will be taken following the ceremony.
Cocktail Reception Location: Kelly Center Atrium Time: 5:30 - 6:30 p.m. Before dinner, enjoy appetizers and cocktails while you tour the art gallery and memorabilia collection that recounts the history of TCU from the location at Thorp Spring to Fort Worth.
Reunion Dinner Location: Kelly Center, Cox Banquet Hall Time: 6:45 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. Cost: $35* per person; cash bar Dine on delicious legendary Texas cuisine from Reata, sip your favorite libations, enjoy the music of the TCU jazz quartet and share your favorite memories of TCU with your classmates.
Fireworks and After Dinner Drinks Location: Lawn of the Campus Commons & Kelly Center Time: 8:00 p.m. - 9:30 p.m. As the day comes to an end, join students and their families on the lawn to celebrate the Class of 2019 with a fireworks display! If you want to linger longer, head back to the Kelly Center for a dessert buffet and after dinner drinks. Enjoy the “Class-Curated playlist of tunes” and a few other surprises, too fun to share now. |

Saturday, May 11, 2019 Pre-Commencement Check-in and Orientation to Morning Events Location: Kelly Center, Cox Banquet Hall Time: 7:30 a.m. - 7:45 a.m. Here you will don your robe and commemorative medallion for the big ceremony. (Be sure to bring your medallion!) At approximately 7:45 a.m., the Alumni Relations staff will make important announcements regarding the morning’s events. Then, classmates and their guests will depart for a short walk to the Ed and Rae Schollmaier Arena. A golf cart will be available for those who need assistance. Reserved seating will be provided for your spouse/guest during the ceremony. Note: In keeping with the tradition of this event, we ask that you please wear the purple regalia to commemorate your baccalaureate experience at TCU. Alumni Relations is providing the purple cap and gown, with our compliments, but it must be ordered during the registration process no later than April 12.
Commencement Ceremony Location: Ed and Rae Schollmaier Arena Time: 9:00 a.m. Relive that big moment 50 years ago when your diploma was safely in hand at last! Even if you never got that final class credit, now’s your chance to wear the TCU purple cap and gown and march with your class to commemorate your baccalaureate experience! You and your classmates will follow the Class of 2019 in the Commencement processional. The Class of 1969 will be seated on the arena floor (guests will be in reserved seating in the arena stands) and will be dismissed before the Chancellor and Provost confer degrees upon this year’s graduates. You will then walk back to the Kelly Center for brunch. Note: Classmates marching in Commencement will have their names listed in the Commencement program. To ensure that your name is included, please have your reservation to the Alumni Office no later than Friday, April 12 (no exceptions, please). A golf cart will be available for anyone needing special assistance to and from the arena.
Farewell Brunch Location: Cox Banquet Hall, Kelly Center Time: 10:00 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. Cost: $30* per person (includes Blue Mesa brunch buffet, juice, coffee and a farewell glass of champagne); cash bar. Relax after all the pomp and circumstance for this last chance to reminisce and say farewell to your classmates. Members of the Quinq Club will be on-hand to welcome you with a special gift commemorating your membership into this elite group of alumni who have graduated 50 years or more from TCU! *No portion of this payment is tax deductible.

Be sure to include all the information we need, such as guest name(s) and your measurements for the baccalaureate regalia you will wear on Saturday morning. The deadline to register is April 12. How can I participate in the 50-year Reunion Class Gift effort? There are a few ways to help us reach our goal of 350 class donors. Visit www.makeagift.tcu.edu to participate, or create your own Horned Frogs legacy through a planned gift. Be sure to indicate your measurements so the correct sized regalia will be reserved for you to wear. What do I wear? The weekend is business casual. Most men wear a sport coat that can be easily removed if the weather is warm. On the morning of commencement, we suggest you wear something lightweight and cool since you will also be wearing academic regalia. Where do I park? Friday, May 10, you may park in the visitor’s area of the Frog Alley Parking Lot (see map). For Saturday, May 11, you will be issued a parking pass to park in the Kelly Center Visitors Lot.
